Tempered glass or plastic film — which is better?
Tempered glass (recommended for phones & tablets)
Tempered glass is rigid and lies perfectly flat, so the Zcratch UV spreads evenly and no bubbles remain visible. For smartphones and tablets it is the best choice.
Thick plastic film
Works as well and is often the only option on strongly curved edges. Sufficient material thickness is essential.
Thin screen film — not recommended
With thin films the adhesive shows as a bubble. The result looks uneven even though the scratch itself is filled.
The process in short
- 1Apply polish to the scratches and polish briefly
- 2Clean the display thoroughly from grease, dust and polish residue
- 3Apply Zcratch UV to the center of the display
- 4Place the protector from the side and lower it slowly
- 5Push air bubbles outwards without pressure
- 6Cure under UV light
- 7Peel off excess material and clean with isopropanol
